Trip to CT

Hello all,

I will be flying from my home base in Ottawa, Canada down for an overnight visit in Middlefield, CT. It looks like Meriden Markham Muni (MMK) is the closest field. Anyone familiar with that airport? I would just need the usual fuel, tie down overnight, and taxi (or rental car).

First flight to CT so any thoughts on MMK or alternatives would be helpful!

give them a call ahead of time. it is a small airport and unattended at times. plan ahead.

I landed there once. Quiet place, runway in decent shape. There are RVs based there I hope owners are reading this and will give you some advice.

There are several airports in that area so maybe I will look at some other options too. Hartford-Brainard (HFD) would be the larger airport nearby, but looks like a 45-min drive to Middlefield.
