Default Alt belt

I would like to install an automotive belt on alternator to ring gear pulley. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Jerry

1) Remove propeller first. They won't stretch that far.

Default Hi Jerry.

Try to get three belts with each a size shorter than the other, permission to return the two that aren't needed.
Put the alternator as close to the case as you can, because there's not much clearance from the lower cowl and with the engine 'shake' at startup and shutdown, it can easily hit the inside of the cowl.

Best,

Default Belt

If you already have a belt and the numbers are still readable, it can be cross-referenced at your local auto parts store. I'd stick with "Gates" brand if you can.

At least two different diameter pulleys on the ring gear.

and a couple of different belt widths too... I've experienced three different widths on many different engines.
