Default Builder packrat/frugality competition

I went to one of the many jars of aluminum construction scrap this past weekend in order to make a bracket for a D-Sub.

Found the perfect piece but when I did, it caused a thought "This piece is so darned small, am I crazy for saving pieces this small?"

It reminded me of this hardware jar thread where Dans answer describes my shop perfectly (killed me laughing too.)

Anyway, heres a pic of the scrap. 1.5 grams before machining to shape.

The gauntlet is thrown!
Beat that, all you frugal builders
