Default Value of used steam gauges?

Hey guys-

Getting ready for the switch to the Dynon and would like to part with the round gauges.

I'm not sure what the used instruments are worth and while I don't want/expect to get rich off them, I would like to put some $$ toward our Dynon, so I don't want to give them away.

To start things off I have:

RC Allen Standard Vacuum Attitude Gyro RCA22-7

Sigma-Tek Directional Gyro 4000B-30

Anyone care to help put a value on these?

Default Instruments

After a month of trying to sell mine, they are earning their keep on my office credenza as great conversation pieces.

RC Allen horizon gyro worth about $1:50
Sigma-tek DG should be worth 4-5 hundred as long as its serviceable

Those make excellent sinkers for deep sea fishing. Connect about 8 feet from the hook/bait. Or as an alternative you can use them for filler when pouring concrete to save on material cost. Many uses rather than putting them in a landfill.

Why not contact your local instrument shop? They might be suitable for replacements on a certified airplane.

start out at %40 of retail if they are low time units. every week or two lower the price a bit. keep bumping it to the top. they WILL sell. there are still round guagers out there. saw a nice 1999 model at great barrington mass today.

Glass cockpits are a fad.
