Question Heater Box vents - RV-7

G'day All:

Winter is breaking so it's back to work!

There are slits at the front and sides of the F-782C centre cover that need to be splayed outwards. How far out should they go? Can someone offer the best way to achieve this so the bends are even and consistent?

Thanks and best wishes

Ray, I used this little item. It took, oh, maybe 20 seconds total. It's about four inches wide and just the thing for bending flanges and such.

Ray, if you don't have one of those tools, I can show you how I did mine. This was simple and fast, and the results speak for themselves. Here are some photos and description from my fuselage log.

Here's the link:

Bending the louvers

I have half of them done in this picture:

Later on, all finished and primed:

Best of luck!
