Default VA-128 Restrictor Caution

It may be a good idea to check your VA-128 restrictor fitting before installation.
I went to install the VA-128 restrictor fitting (from Vans Firewall Fwd Kit) and when I got it out of the bag the inside brass sleeve literally fell out of the 45 degree steel elbow. This is not the sort of thing you would want to happen when it is installed in either the oil pressure or fuel system. I checked the second fitting I had by trying to push the sleeve out from the back with a length of hinge pin and it was secure. The loose VA-128 had been punched in 4 places to secure the sleeve just like the good one. No doubt it could be re-punched and it would be OK. Maybe some Loctite would help.
