What is the typical amount of hours for transition training?

Hi RVwanna,
You don't mention whether or not you have any tailwheel time nor total time. If you're TD experienced, five to ten. If not anywhere from 10 to 15, but I'm guessing,

In my case the insurance said:
10 for tailwheel or 2 for tricycle.

It depends in the amount of time they have flown before they came to fly with me, but for an average I will say about 4 hours. I gave 130 hrs of dual in my RV6 last year.
