Any recommendations on whether or not to lube the rudder cables, more for protection against corrosion than anything else? If so, what lubricant is recommended?

The cables are stainless so I really don't think they need lubrication or protection. Mine are 11 years old and show no signs of wear. The plastic bushings and tubes I rotate during anual as the cable is a great saw.
