Default Issues with fitting the nose wheel fairing

I'm doing the initial fitting of my nose wheel fairing on my 9A. Is it normal for it to be a big PITA getting the rear fairing to fit over the brackets? If I try to slip the fairing on from the rear as it, it actually sits between the wheel and the ears on the brackets. So, to get it on, I have to simultaneously squeeze the brackets closer to the wheel while gently pulling apart the fairing. I didn't do it so gentle last night and I cracked it.

I plan to get back on it tonight after the epoxy dries on the repair. Any tips? Yea, I could just bend the brackets but I wanted shout out to everybody before I do that.

Thanks

Default Yes, it's a pain!

I just did this, yes it is a pain. The good news is once the brackets are drilled to the pant you remove the brackets with the pant from then on and it's a piece of cake. This is why you cut the slot into the rear of the mounting bracket so that it can be slid into place with the brackets screwed to the pant.

Aha! I didn't realize it all came out as an assembly.

Tonight went much better than last night. It's just about fit.

Thanks!
