If you go to www.sportairrace.org you can find the speeds for all 999 race flights. Click on "Records and Stats", then "League Statistics", then click on "All Speeds by Race", "All Speeds Ranked Fastest to Slowest",
"All Speeds by Class", "All Speeds by Aircraft Type" or "All Speeds by Pilot" to download the desired files.

A new category Heavy Metal has just been added in SARL (www.sportairrace.org) with several classes:

Unlimited
Includes 300 MPH + aircraft similar to the P-51 Mustang, Hawker Seafury, F-8 Bearcat, etc.

T-6
Includes all variants of the AT6 Texan, SNJ and Harvard.

T-28
Includes all variants of the T-28 Trojan.

Yak
Includes all variants of YAK aircraft with the exception of the Yak-3 which will race as Unlimited.

CJ
Includes all variants of the Nanchang CJ aircraft

Stearman / Biplane
Includes all variants of the Boeing Stearman, N2, N2S or Kaydet primary trainer aircraft. May include other models of vintage (round engine) Biplanes.

MEHM (Multi-Engine Heavy Metal)
Includes any multi-engine heavy metal aircraft.
You want to race your P-38? We have a class for that!

The files now contain 1073 race data records. THey have been updated to include the Pagosa Springs, Colorado race last Saturday 9-24-11.

The downloadable Excel files have been updated to cover all of the 1162 race flights in all of the 5 SARL racing seasons.

There are still five files sorted by race & speed, by speed alone and ranked from 1 through 1206, by class & speed, by aircraft type & speed and finally by pilot & speed.
