Cool Oil hose fire sleeve

Can someone tell me what diameter fire sleeve will slip over the oil cooler hoses without being too loose. I was thinking 1 inche.

Cool This Should Help!

Th sleeve should not be real tight on the hose so as to allow it to bend and flex during installation and service.

For Selection seehttp://www.gen-aircraft-hardware.com...firesleeve.pdf

Smile Depends on the type of hose--

Aeroquip 303/ Stratoflex 111 -8 uses -14 firesleeve (-12 works too, but tight), teflon hose uses -10 firesleeve (-8 fits real snug). The Stratoflex firesleeve is more flexible than the Aeroquip ---if that helps.
