GNC 250 Datacard

Thinking of purchasing a used GNC 250. It needs a database update. The datacard is the original (vintage 1996 card). I was told by Jeppesen that the new downloads are too big to fit on the old datacards.

All I need is the East Central US database. Is it true that this will not fit on the old cards (not enough storage capacity) ?

Jepp has 4MB blank cards for $125.00.

Will the new card do the trick?
