Default OT: More Google Maps/Earth

I was surfing Google earth today and I stumbled upon what I thought was an interesting image of Reno-Stead field in NV. It looks like somebody got themselves in a little trouble and almost ran off the runway. You can even see what look like tire marks curving off centerline and possibly a service vehicle to clear the runway. I hope nobody was hurt. Zoom-in for more detail.

It is bad enough for your friends to see it, but to be captured by a satellite... that sucks!

That's amazing! Just wait until we have live 7x24 satellite imaging available.

Much (most?) of the truly high resolution stuff on Google Earth doesn't come from satellites. It comes from photo mapping aircraft...

Google Earth is really nice, but I have to suspect the age of the images. For instance, I zoomed in on Hartsfield in ATL, and there were Delta 727's on the ramp.
