Unhappy Oil pressure

Since I have instalated a inverted oil system in my RV8 and when it stays inative for two or three days( i dont fly oven) and only on the first start of the day, i get NO oil pressure for around 10 secs. and only than the pressure starts to incriase slowly to normal taking around another 20 secs. to reach the normal pressure, well, i getting nervous about the long term problem i may have with this situation, so i apriciate any halpy to solve it.

Default Air leak

Air leak at the fitting where the oil line goes into the sump at the back of the oil pump.

I have a Raven system and had exactly the same symptoms..Proved it by smearing some silicone around the angled swivel fitting there..I.e problem went away.

Default Hint

it always happens on the first start of the day..I.e when the oil is cold and the pump is sucking extra hard..it pulls in air and air loacks the pump.

Frank,

I suspect I've got the same problem. What was the permanent fix for you? Is there an O-ring in that fitting that can be replaced?
