five rvators and 55 other aviators headed for clearwater airpark, the 'hotel' and the sponge capital of the world. http://www.spongedocks.net/we flew into CLW on friday afternoon picked up ower toyota venza and headed to the hotel for a meeting at the hospitality room. the drinks and snacks were plentiful. the FAC (florida aero club) does it right. twice a year they pull off a weekend flyin event in florida. members arrive by plane and car from all over the state. this event was one of the best. rvers included judy betz rv12, roger & myra woodman rv-6a, and turbo & kim. we had ower own guide for the day, an original greek historian, from tarpon springs. amazing what there is to know about sponges. we soaked up the knowledge and rain that hit us during ower boat ride and hard hat diver demonstration. enjoy the pictures http://gallery.mac.com/edarcy#100470...lack&view=grid and join the club for the next event. come as my guest and check us out next fall. http://floridaaeroclub.org/
