Default Suggestions for an RV'ator heading to New Orleans?

First trip to New Orleans next week! Tips for the trip? Interesting airports or other aviation sights to see? Would be fun to see the area from the air, so I thought I'd check into any local flight schools for a plane rental. Appreciate any suggestions!

Default FOOD!

Go to "Mothers" at the River on Poydras. Order the debri poboy. Get a Barqs in a bottle if they have it. It's worth the wait if there is a line and is not that expensive.

You can eat GREAT food there for $20 or $200. Plenty of hotel staff can make other suggestions.

I've lots of family there. Have a great time!

Default Drago's in Kenner

Very old famous New Orleans resturant. You have to have a dozen or two of the Charcoal Grilled Oysters on the half shell. If you don't do anything else in New Orleans...do this.

Default New Orleans

Check out the WWII museum. A great high end restaurant is August.

Thanks for all the great tips! Didn't get any flight time in, but the food, music and the WWII museum were amazing.
