Many RV Race Photos

Checkout Race memory photos at www.sportairrace.org. Interesting in the Taylor 2011 race the head on shot of the P-51 crossing the Start/Finish line and the photo of RV-6A Race number 71 pulling up in the departure turn. Note the relative fuselage width of these two airplanes. Note the shiny cowling on Race P which is the yellow tailed RV-7A. That's real aluminum! I don't know how Bruce Pauley did it.

Thanks for the links to the pics. They were very cool to look at. I didn't see any RV10s though.. I would assume they could compete well against the cessnas and bonanzas, no?

They do compete quite well thought their numbers are limited so far. The photo above was taken at the Rocket 100 in Taylor Texas last November. It beat the fastest Factory (FAC) class airplane which was a S35 Bonanza. It was flown by Nick Nafsinger and this is how it ranked:
