Default RV Cross Country Race Speeds

The records of all 867 race flights have just been updated to reflect the results of all SARL cross country air races through the race at Abilene on April 30, 2011. They are downloadable from the www.sportairrace.org website by clicking on Records and Stats then League Statistics and your choice of sorts. The most interesting to RV pilots will be All Speeds by Aircraft Type. There are 229 for RVs beginning at row 527. This is in addition to Rockets that are located elsewhere in the file. Within each RV aircraft type, the records for that type are sorted speed, fastest first.

The mph ranges of each RV type that have raced are as follows:

RV-3 179 - 207.1
RV-4 152.7 - 240.6
RV-6 150.2 - 214.58
RV-6A 175.4 - 223.89
RV-7 159.7 - 222.9
RV-7A 154.1 - 217.97
RV-8 180.1 - 249.91
RV-8A 198.74 - 217.3
RV-9A 182.2 - 187.7
RV-10 172.7 - 220.3

Default EXCITING!

Thanks for the update; looks like SARL is off to a competitive start. I would like to remind ALL that one of the most exciting venues is only 2 weeks away. I'm referring to the Lone Star Air Rally slated for May 14th.

What a great place to race; over the beaches and coastal areas of Galveston Texas.

You all come on down?.. we would LOVE TO SEE YOU!

RV-6A top speed is 1 mph more than the -7...I'm going to do my best to change that this year.
