Default Tie down main spar attchments

I drilled the starter holes twice on both TD bars and the 1/2 inch by 15/32s dimensions did not place that tiedown bar any where near the somewhat symetrical depiction on the drawing, with just a tad ov over hang on the spar web, am I missing something? (2 new td alum castings ordered!)

this is slow starting...

got the countersinking on the spar tank inspection attachments ok....

The TD does not touch the wing skins. There is a gap. The TD ring that Vans sells will bottom out before it pushes the wing skin in if you tap the hole properly in the TD. Hope this is what you were asking.
