5 Years ago today.......

Well, some things you just have to post....


I am doing all the 'little things you leave to the end', and, as I was removing the blue plastic off the fin to expose that nice shiny aluminum, I thought:
" Gee, I think I started this project close to this time...."
Well, looking at my build log, sure enough, March 26 2006!
That project and I have been through a few interesting times...
Getting married to a wonderful woman, good times building with my son,
Oshkosh a few times...

Now as I prepare for paint, I'm going have to get my wonderful wife to allow me to store the wings in the dining room for a few days (weeks)
while I build a paint booth...

Sure wish I had a larger shop

But, Its been five years of fantastic times!!!!

Good memories. At that time I was this much before making Bid Decision. Was reading VAF and browsing websites. Empennage ordering had happened six months after Thanks for reminding Chris.

Have you considered renting a booth for the big parts? Down the street from me we rented a booth for the weekend for 150.00. The lighting was the big advantage.
