Default Re-registration of Aircraft

I am building an RV7. It is NOT an airplane yet. I have a reserved "N" number.
Does the new re-registration policy affect me & those like me? Thanks in advance if anyone knows the answer.

Default Re-registration.

I also have a reserved N number and just received the renewal request for it. There was no mention of re-registration being necessary. I renewed successfully on line. This is handy because you receive very quick confirmation by e-mail. At the same time we got notice of re-registration needed on our Pitts (a flying certified aircraft) and accomplished that on line also. Based on this I don't think re-registration is needed for a reserved number.

Default

A "reserved" N number has to be renewed each year.
It is not "registered"; therefore re-registration does not apply.
