Default Vernatherm seal ring

Ive got a used vernatherm than came w/a soft aluminum ring supposedly to be a seal. I ordered a new ring and got a rubber O-ring part# MS29512-10. What type of seal have most of you used? What part number should there be used?

I've never seen a rubber one. I thought it should be an AN-900 aluminum.
