Replace or fix ELT-AK-450 Ameri-King

Hey guys, Doing my annual and my two year old ELT won't work.
New batteries, and the switch seems to work by the thump method.
the little red light comes on when I turn it on, but no signal being transmitted out. I understand there is a 2 year warranty and I'm right at 2 years now, flying. Not sure if its worth sending for repairs at 189.00 but this doesn't feel right, only lasting 2 years. Any ideas?? or advice??
