Default Has anyone had their uncompleted RV appraised
All,

Was wondering if anyone has had to have their uncompleted RV appraised for the purpose of a divorce? Thoughts?

Not for divorce. But I have appraised un-completed aircraft for insurance companies.

Most interesting was BD-5 damaged by a car that ran into the house. The guy was claiming a $30,000 loss. It was a basic airframe kit with no engine or drive train.

My appraisal was not quite what he was hoping for.

Yes! Fortunately, she agreed that it wasn't "part" of our accumulated belongings

I did. John Harmon came up and looked at my HRII project. He didn't give a dollar value, but said it was worth about 2/3 of whatever I had in the parts, zero for labor. It was only an empennage and wing kit so I got off fairly easy. FWIW, that was 10+ years ago.
