Default Garmin 430 connector access??

Is there a procedure that stops short of torture to get to the multi-pin connectors on the back of an already-installed 430's mounting tray?

I need to add a single line to help a friend get his autopilot talking to the 430 (non-waas), & I'd like to see what I'm doing when I insert the pin.

Thanks,

Charlie

Hope that the installer left some length for a service loop so that you can pull the connector out of the panel.......
