Default Garmin 196 upgrade

For those of you who don't update your GPS software or Databases very often (like me)... Here's a very cool new feature that Garmin added in the latest "Beta" firmware for the GPS196.

They now display runway pattern direction, both visually on the airport diagram and in text on the runway page. You need the newest firmware to display, and a recent Jep database update.

This was the single most glaring missing data as I have used the 196. You fly to a new airport, and all the data you need is now a hand within a couple of button presses.
