Default Mandatory sick leave?

This sucks, can't go to work cause of back surgery, I am fine realy... getting lots done on the plane but relay, why should I use all my sick leave and vacation leave when I don't need to. This is kinda nice in the prospective of pre retirement. my honey in the office, me in the shop, but hey, now I am spoiled. only 9 years to go.

Call your doc/doc's nurse and see if they can work with you regarding your restrictions. Sometimes a simple phone call and communication can go along way. However, your employer may not want you back due to liability purposes with workers compensation. Its worth a shot. Your doc may shoot you down, your employer may shoot you down but at least you tried. Then you can build away with out a conscience.
