Default Ney Nozzles

Does anyone have any experience with the Ney nozzles in in IO 360 or other engine?

Thanks,
Mike

I had Chuck Ney install them in the O-320 I am currently rebuilding. To be honest I am not sure how much they will help. I've have cam rust issues before so I figure I will add a pre-oiler to the engine to oil the cam and followers prior to start and weekends that I do not fly.

I had Chuck put them in the case on a 540 I overhauled. They're just squirters from the main galleys that point at the cam lobes. I'm sure they help but to get the real answer on what they do one has to gauge cam/tappet wear at overhaul.

I have them installed in my 320 h2ad. I bought the plane flying and thought they were a solution to the cam troubled h2ad. Is that the case? I have noticed if the oil is hotter then normal and the plant is at idle the oil pressure is sometimes just under 20psi. That kinda freaks me out a little. Dont know if that is a result if the installation or not?

We also installed the nozzles on the o-320 in my cherokee and I did not see any low pressure issues after install.

I would investigate that asap. Low oil pressure can be a sign of trouble.
