Default Van's Customer Service

Last night I discovered that the skin for the aileron I am building was bent wrong. It is over 1/4" different in width from the trailing edge bend to the edge of the skin between the left and right sides. It is so far off that the stiffeners clash with the spar.
A quick call to Van's and a chat with Gus this morning worked out very well. They are sending me a free new skin and stiffeners ASAP. He said it is not unheard of to have a mis-bent skin. Lesson learned: Van's has excellent customer service (I already knew that) and take a good look and measure the skins, etc. before spending large blocks of time in preperation--just to be on the safe side.
