Fuel flow transducer and bypass
I am asking to italian FAA to give me a permit to fly IFR VMC.
They asked me the compliance to CS-VLA rules for elementary airplanes.
I have a red cube fuel flow transducer. Fuel hose goes from mechanical pump to the red cube and then from here to carburator.
CS-VLA 1337 states that in case of a fuel flowmeter system, "each meter must have a means to by-pass the fuel supply if malfunctioning of that component severily restricts fuel flow".
Red cube installation sheet states that "a blocked rotor does not affect pressure drop".
Could this installation be dangerous without a bypass system? Is difficult to install a bypass system?
