Default Primer solenoid valve installation

This valve is sold by Aircraft Spruce and included in the engine primer kit sold by Van's. I ordered the valve from ACS and it was delivered without any install directions so I called Van's and asked if it mattered which way the valve was installed and told that it didn't. After two weeks and 2 valves I eventually discovered that it did matter by digging deeper into information buried on the ACS webcatalog.

If you install this valve without reference to proper connections you have exactly a 50% chance that your engine will not run until you do. Installed incorrectly the valve will pass fuel WHEN OFF.

Please note, that until the vendor starts including specific install instructions solenoid valve part no. 05-04368 has to be installed with port 1 out and port 2 in. Nor is it clear whether the wiring harness can be rotated or not.
