Default Aircraft Re-registration

I received my letter from the FAA today to re-register my RV-12. I did so over the internet just a few minutes ago, and it was very straightforward and simple. Good for another 3-years. FWIW

I did mine on the coupe last week, got the new registration in the mail today. Pretty fast and simple.

The FAA must be sending them out like crazy after the 1st of the year.

I heard a news reports that the FAA has 50,000 aircraft that it does not know where they are. After 3 years they should have a good handle on that figure.
