Flying in the Islands

Does anyone know about the regulatory requirements of flying around in the Caribbean in Experimental airplanes? Do they have requirements like Canada for approvals to operate in their airspace or is it just like flying a spam can?

New requirements are necessary now as you need to register with eAPIS, Dept. of Homeland Security prior to flight.

I flew helicopters all over the Caribbean from Florida to Venezuala for several years without any issues. Although it wasn't an experimental aircraft, I always ran into lots of non certified aircraft doing the same. They only want your general dec's and landing fees, and flt plan fees and navigation fees and such.
