Default Aileron Attachment Question

I am ready to rivet W-414 aileron bracket to rear spar on a RV-8 QB wing. In looking at the back side of the rear spar, it appears that the shop head of the rivets will overlap onto the rib flange. If I place the manufactured head on the back side of the rear spar, the head fits flush, but the rivet set will not fit over the head without contacting the rib flange. I looked at the other wing and it will have the same issue. Suggestions?? Thanks in advance.

I relieved the flange slightly for the rivet heads.

If your RV4 is like my RV-7A, don't forget (like I did) that one of these rivets needs to be an AN426 on each of the aileron brackets.

I just did this on my 7 QB wings. It's close, but it doesn't touch.

Sig600, you were correct! I shot and bucked the rivets and it is close, but they do not touch. Distance from center of hole to edge of the rib is .125 and half the width of the shop head should be .09375. So, I actually had .03125 to play with. Thanks!

This must be the difference, I just looked at it and went "that works."
