Default Rotec - Ellison TBI Auto fuel question

I sent an email query to Rotec asking for the name of an RV4 Lyc O-320customer in the states using their TBI and auto fuel that I could contact for first hand experience. I mentioned that I was currently running the Ellison TBI with good results, but wanted the capability of using auto fuel. Their reply did not give any customer info, but did state that many people were using the Ellison with auto fuel. No names or furhter info given. This prompts two questions.

Is anyone using the Ellison with auto fuel & what is their experience?

Is anyone using the Rotec with auto fuel and what is their experience?

Not interested in starting a debate on fuel systems or TBI comparisons. Just looking for first hand experience.

Default Rotec TBI

Dwight,

I am planning to install the ROTEC TBI when the weather warms up this spring. How do you like it? Has it been prone to vapor lock, do you have a primer set up or are you using the bypass button? Anything you would do differently?

Default Rotec TBI

Chris,
Sorry I didn't make myself better understood. I don't have a Rotec. I am running an Ellison. The ellison has been flawless, but auto gas is not recommended. The guys at Rotec say the Ellison will work with auto gas & that many people were using them with auto gas. I am seeking someone who has experience using auto gas with the Ellison and also with the Rotec for comparison. I will stay with the Ellison if I can find someone who has successful experience with Ellison and auto gas.
The guy at Rotec said Ellison would not authorize auto gas due to alcohol and vapor lock issues.

Did you ever do this change over?
