Default Snow Caps

It was a pretty day Saturday in Colorado this weekend. It had snowed at the higher elevations all week leaving the mountains covered with fresh snow and some pretty good skiing as well. Anyhow being the nice guy that I am, I took my wife out for a late afternoon lunch to Salida, (she enjoys flying with me, I think) we have a favorite restaurant out there called the Country Bounty. On the way back she was taking some pics and they came out rather nice. So I thought I would post a few here to give those still pounding rivets something to strive for.

This shot is of the Sangre de Cristo mountain range. View is looking south down the range.

The flight from Meadow Lake to Salida to about an hour, had to fly south of the Ft Carson restricted airspace. The winds were'nt to bad going over the Rock pile but it was a 10 knot 90 degree crosswind landing at Salida.
