Default length of va-102 fuel pressure hose

Hi,

i wanted to connect the fuel pump of my io-375 (same footprint as 360) to the transducer with the va-102 fuel pressure hose. i installed the transducer exactly like it is on the drawing for the rv-7. the hose is 16" long but there is a lot of twisting and bending involved and it touches the firewall. 3 or 4" less would be the perfect length...

what did other guys do here?

thanks
Kay
