Default Rotax Repair...

I'm looking for a FBO in SoCal who has a bunch of experience with Rotax engines. Like the RV-12 has. (OK, I just added that to make this RV specific). Actually, I have a friend with a sick Diamond Katana)

Total engine shut down at mag check. No restart until something magic happens.

1. Plane has been fine for over two years
2. Guy shows up for Sunday fun flight. No start (engines spins but no start)
3. Local FBO has a look and finds a bad ground. Fixes and all good. Well, the engine started anyway.
4. Taxis to run-up area and as soon as he does the first mag check, engine stops completely. No restart.
5. Engine spins but no start
6. Later (another day), engine starts but dies at mag check. Then no restart.

Nedless to say he is a little nervous and need some help. OK for engine to stop at run-up, but not at 100 feet.

Near KWHP would be great.
