Default Canopy Skirt

Another one on the skirt. When wrapping the skirt around the aft end of the canopy, in order to get it to lay flat along the fuselage, I get riipples inbetween the clecos attaching to the canopy/frame. It stands away from the canopy by 3/16ths or so. Can I fillet that gap with epoxy and sand the bulges down. Any suggestions. Tried to get a photo in here, but I'm not swift enough.

The initial fit on my -8 canopy skirt was so bad you could slide your hand though the enormous gap. The fix was simple and did not take much time at all:

Thanks Rick, Hadn't thought of slitting the skin like that, but it'll probably work. Thanks again
