Default 2010 Nellis AFB "Ravens" Formation

I had my Yak 50 up at Nellis for the airshow and was treated each day to a superb RV formation team demonstration.

Its a tough job putting all those aircraft together and even tougher to fly.
I had an easier job as #4 in our Yak/CJ formation flights.

Great job, you all looked great.
However, one RV looked better than the others in my opinion...
Painted in a Navy blue scheme similar to my Yak!

I didn't realize you were a turbo 13B. I would have liked to check that out but they kept moving you guys around it seemed.

I've owned a bunch of Rx7s (2nd Gen) in my past so I know the motor well.

Next year we'll coordinate a faux-navy-livery fly-by.

I am still looking for photos of the RV Formations from the ground.

So far, all I have found is this video of the first pass of 22-RVs in the Airplane Formation. RoDoc is the smoking airplane on the left wing.

(not sure how long the video link will be valid)

We try to get out there every other year for the show and were very impressed with the job you guys did. It was great looking down the ramp at the big iron warbirds BEHIND the RV's. Awesome!
