Default How did you hold this nut?

Gents,

I am finally assembling my RV-7A and I am in the process of installing the ailerons.

How did you hold the nut while torquing the upper bolt (on the aileron). This bolt secures the pushrod and access to the nut blocked by the nose rib of the aileron.

What tricks did you use?

Without a picture, it's hard to tell exactly what your situation is (they all differ slightly). Would it help to use one of those smaller all metal lock nuts? It allows using a much smaller wrench, and might help. I believe the hex is 1/4" on the -10 size.

Default Push rod bolt?

If it is the pushrod bolt, install the pushrod before you put the aileron on.
