Default spots in primer

Hi all,

i used rattle cans yellow self etching zinc chromate primer from moeller to prime the interiour parts of the airplane. that stuff is easy to apply, relativley light and it's really tough like nails.

http://www.westmarine.com/1/1/31637-...ay-primer.html

the disadvantage is when you use it you will see a lot of spots and blurs on the primed surface. at least sometimes and sometimes not. for inner parts of the plane i didn't care about that but i was thinking to use that stuff to prime the cabin area before i coat it with paint. i tested it with white paint from home depot, it looked good (except the spots) and seemed also very durable.

so is there anybody outthere who used also this primer and mastered it that way to prevent any sprinkled spots?

Kay

Here are the tricks I learned while using rattle can primers.

1. Make sure there is no water left on the surface and that the humidity is low.
2. Place the can in front of a small ceramic space heater before use. This will help mix the chemicals and allow them to flow better. (I haven't had a can blow up yet, but you may not be so lucky.)
3. Use a pistol grip like this.
4. Every two or three strokes, wipe the nozzle off with a paper towel.
