guys and gal,

i read this in AOPA e-news this morning...

AOPA SEEKS MORE INPUT FROM LYCOMING OWNERS
AOPA is looking for more input from owners affected by an airworthiness concern sheet on the latest Lycoming crankshaft service bulletin (SB). The FAA's Engine and Propeller Directorate will attempt to gather real-world data before deciding whether to issue an airworthiness directive (AD) on Lycoming crankshafts not already covered by two previous ADs. If you haven't already, you can help guide the process by filling out a simple online form. See AOPA Online to find out if you are affected. If you are affected, have your engine model number and engine and crankshaft serial numbers readily available when filling out the online form.

the form can be found here

check it out, maybe something can be done about this before it becomes another big problem.
