Default King transponder wiring Q

Just a quick question regarding wiring of a King KT-79 transponder. the manual shows 2 pins each for +12V (pins 11 and 12) and ground (pins 1 and A). Is it necessary to hook up both of each or any one of each? Does it really need two power leads and two grounds?

Tnx.

Wink Transponder wiring

It's so easy to do as called out that asking this question probably took more effort. Simply run 1 power wire and one ground. Before crimping the pin onto the wire, crimp a second wire ( 2" or so long) into the same pin as the power, and do the same for the ground. Then put crimps on the the other end of the pigtails and push them into the other places on the connector called out. Seriously, not to be a smart @#$, but the goal isn't to run seperate power sources and grounds in case one burns open, it is just for power distribution in the xpndr.
