Default Vacuum Pump Removal

Hi Guys,

I'm aware that when removing a vacuum pump that 3 nuts will be easy to remove with the 4th being difficult .

Do I need to order a special tool or can anyone offer a good tip to get it done without buying a tool I'll use once ?

Marc

Yes, this tool makes it much easier...

but sometimes you can find a mechanic at the airport or an EAA chapter that has one that you can borrow.

Default Heat a cheap wrench cherry red.....

...and bend it to shape. Then use vice grips on the shank.

Best,
