B&C OFA

I am installing an oil filter adapter (B&C 700) and also have a 1.4 inch spacer - also from B&C - on a Lycoming IO 360 M1B from Van's. The orientation of the spacer is not shown on the installation drawings. Also, did the special gasket come with the adapter?
Please advise if you have installed this unit
