I've "ruined" a friend.
At the airport last weekend working on getting #s off my ECI cylinders, a friend I gave an introductory RV ride stopped by. He said I've "ruined" him, looks like he'll be in the market for an RV around the end of the year! It's rewarding to share this wounderful experience.

Although I haven't finished my RV-8 yet, I've "Ruined" quite a few people with small planes in general.
Feels pretty good doesn't it?

I would not say he was ruined.

Yeah, my good friend Vince Potts gave me a FREE ride in N69VP, RV7A. Look what it cost me.

Back in 1988, a friend gave me a ride in his brand new RV4 on a Sunday afternoon. I had a check in the mail for the kit a week later, not knowing how I was gonna pay for it and not knowing even what a rivet was.
One of the best decisions I've ever made.

What would it cost me to get a ride?
That is what a guy asked me a few months back. I told him it would cost him about $70,000, he laughed and about a month later that is just about how much he paid for a used RV9A.
