Default which FAB for AFP?

Another speed bump. The AFP injection system on my IO-320 doesn?t even remotely line up with the scoop on the bottom of my cowl. The inlet of the injector is basically in line with the scoop inlet, but several inches too high. If i look into the scoop i can see the bottom of the injector. I was planning on fabbing up a new scoop anyway, but now I am wondering how i can put a filter on the front of the AFP? Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Rob

The minimum number of planes one should own is one. The correct number is n+1, where n is the number of planes currently owned. This equation may also be re-written as s-1, where s is the number of planes owned that would result in separation from your partner.

Default FAB for AFP with io320

I had a similar suprise when I installed the io-320. You need the lower cowl chin scoop that fits a 360. On my cowling this part was a glue on option.

Rob,

Check out the pictures of what I had to do for my James cowl, they may help. Here's the link: http://picasaweb.google.com/N941WR/O360#

Thanks for the reply guys. The trouble is that my AFP injector inlet is already pointing forward, so I am wondering how i can install a filter on the front of it. It looks like this could be a solution http://www.ramairforhomebuilts.com/products.htm, but theyre asking $850! There must be a cheaper way...
