Default More dynamic balancing results.

Well, I was able to balance another RV down to 0.01 IPS this past weekend. Had to place weight on 2 different locations again. The gentleman reported that in addition to a smoother aircraft he saw a small RPM increase and fuel flow decrease of about 0.25 gal/hr. I was not expecting much improvement in his plane since his initial reading indicated an IPS of 0.25. But he can notice. We have been balancing the aircraft at cruise RPMs if it is a constant speed and at full power if it is fixed pitch.

Still trying to understand the fuel flow, but good to hear.

The information that I post is just that; information and my own personal experiences. You need to weight out the pros and cons and make up your own mind/decisions. The pictures posted may not show the final stage or configuration. Build at your own risk.
