Default How to control a 496 from a 430W

This past weekend, I gave a BFR to a gent in his GRT/430W/496 equipped -9A and we flew to KAGS for an ILS 17 approach.

On the way there, he showed me that whatever go-to waypoint he put in the 430W, it automatically also put it in the 496.

Any of you guys know how it should be wired to do that?.... I don't have any schematics or manuals here,

Thanks

Here you go Pierre, this should be what you're after: http://www.vansairforce.com/communit...p?t-29934.html

Apologies if that doesn't format as a proper URL, I'm using my phone to browse VAF from the Minneapolis airport terminal...

Default PDF File

I have designed this into my panel upgrade. Here is a link to a pdf file of my electrical drawings. Sheet 8 shows the wiring interface to a 696. I added a switch to be able to disconnect the flight plan data to the 696. My understanding is that while the 696 is receiving serial data you can not select a different flight plan independent of what the 430 is sending it. Thus the switch...
